the main function of heart is to pump blood at a high pressure throughout the body to distribute
nutrients to the body and to remove waste products that the body does not need
the heart has 4 muscular chambers
2 upper chambers(left and right atrium)
2 lower chamber(left ventricle and right ventricle)
atria -> pam darah dekat ventricles bawah
wall of left ventricle is thicker than right ventricle -> left ventricle has to pump blood to all parts of the body
right ventricle-> only pumps blood to the lungs

artery carries oxygenated blood away from the heart(excp pulmonary artery)
vein carries deoxgenated blood back to the heart(excp pulmonary vein)
the human circulatory system
a)pulmonary circulation-deoxygenated blood(from the right ventricle )pump into -> pulmonary arteries .these arteries
transport blood to -> the blood capillaries in the lungs .
At the aveoli ,exchange of carbon dioxide and oxgen occurs .the blood enriched with oxygen is now known as oxygenated blood.Oxygenated blood flows out of the lungs through the pulmonary veins back---> to the left atriun of the heart
b)systemic circulation -from the left atrium ,oxygenated blood flows to -->left ventricle.From the left ventricle the oxygenated blood is pumped at high pressure into -->aorta.The aorta distributes the blood to body tissues to be used for cellular respiration .After losing oxygen,the deoxygenated blood returns to--> the right atrium through 2 vena cavae-superior vena cava and inferior vena cava
